And the Living is Easy

My goodness, where should I start?
I'm home now, maybe that's a good place.

We could go even farther back- finals week! But by now I have all of my grades from those finals therefore stripping those stories of their suspense. I was sick during finals week too. 10 points for me, I don't think I could have gotten sick at a better (or worse) time!
The important thing is I made it through a week of finals! I'm all about rewards, so I enjoyed a McDonald's smoothie for all of the stress and hard work!

Oh, and then I took myself to Target with a friend (I used Carter's car, thanks girl!)
We decided that maybe the CR-V could use some decoration. You know, just a little something to add some edge.

Carter wasn't a big fan, but I think he was just suffering from jet lag. He spent the week in Ohio, thus giving me access to his vehicle.

Aw, Shasta is curled up in an awkward little ball right next to me. I wish I could sleep with my head twisted and nose shoved into the couch like that. Shame.

Anyway... back to post-finals living.
Mom and dad came to pick me up and move me out on Friday. They left at 4am to come get me- talk about dedication.

We drove into downtown and ate a nice lunch at The Pit. Greatest place ever, holy cow.
Well, pig. They specialize in pigs, not cows.

My lunch was delish- everything that I was dreaming of. I think I may have started drooling. And of course I took a picture, do we know who I am?
Good.

Sweet southern comfort, carry on!
That's a song, right?

Oh yes! Hoda and Kathie Lee are on!
Great morning.

But back to last week- you'll be shocked by this, I know you will be.
So here we go- mom, dad and I were walking back to our car after lunch. I was wearing flip-flops (it was hot!), and happened to be walking next to daddy.
Out of nowhere dad looks at me and says, "What's wrong with your feet? Looks kind of like your two middle toes are the same length."

I responded, "Really father? Here I am living my life with self-esteem issues stemming from my oh so abnormal cliffy toes and you're only now realizing this?"

To which he chuckled and continued to say, "But they just look about half retarded! They look like they're the same length."

"Yes daddy, they are the same length hence the name, 'cliffy toes'. Thanks for drawing further attention to my feet."

He thinks he's so funny. But really, I do have awkward toes. Want to see? This is a big step for me but I'm just going to do it. I don't even care anymore!

Yup.
This picture doesn't really do them justice, but you can get the general idea.

I decided to let my father's insensitive comment go since he was doing so much for me already. I mean, he woke up at 3 that morning. He could have been suffering from jet lag like Carter. I mean I'm just sayin'.

Apparently my stuff barely fit into the back of the car, I don't know so much about that but I do know that it barely fit into my room after we got home.

I still haven't put my stuff away and it's getting to be a problem. It's getting much worse in only a few days time. I mean, it's like these bags are just dumping everything on the floor when I'm not looking. I almost fell over this morning as I was trying to work my way around what floor was left. I just wanted to get downstairs and I couldn't!

But I'm home and that's all that matters.
I have 3 months off! It's so exciting.
Come to see me at the Family Cupboard, hopefully I'll be there a lot!
I'll be there tonight!

Oh, Taylor Swift on a commercial about cucumber makeup. Whatever T-swift. I'm not a big fan of hers.

Updates over the next couple of months may not be happening. Sorry, I tried to think of a reason (or excuse) but I got nothing.
We'll all be okay, for sure.

I love summertime!
